What Causes Scoliosis?

Scoliosis is a curvature of the spine.  It may be from front to back or from side to side.  There are several causes and the most common cause is muscles pulling on your bones.

Here are some of the most common causes:

If muscles get tight in a certain area they will pull on the bones they are attached to.  It’s similar to a bow and arrow action.  That’s cause number one.

Cause number two of scoliosis is a shortened breastbone in the chest.  Sometimes that bone just doesn’t grow as much as the spine does and this causes a front to back scoliosis.  This can run in families.

Cause number three is a leg length difference.  According to a study by the US Army one out of ten of us has this.  It becomes critical and we begin compensating when the difference is 1/8″ or more.  Each of us compensates in a different way; we twist or tilt or rotate or collapse.  Those are symptoms of scoliosis.

Cause number four is a pelvis size difference from left to right.  One out of 100 has this.

Some people are bone with spinal bones (vertebrae) that are not quite the correct shape and they cause the spine to tilt.  That is cause number five.

Cause number six is the possibility that internal organs or tissues are restricting movement and causing scoliosis.

There are many doctors who say that scoliosis is “idiopathic.”  That word means “no known cause.”  Obviously, this isn’t true.

Bodies are logical.  They follow natural laws.  Scoliosis happens for reasons as does most pain.

I created a program for getting rid of the miserable knots in your back.  Lots of times those miserable knots are caused by the same muscles that pull you into scoliosis. In my self help program, I use lots of little videos to show you exactly where the muscles that pull could be and how to relax or release them.

And now I’d like to invite you to get a free report and check out my program at Knots In Your Back Gone!
